Earlier this year we were involved in the making of a short film in collaboration with visual artists Novak Collective. This piece was our contribution to the Space project, a series of experimental music, arts and film collaborations in unusual venues across the North East of England.
We were asked to write a piece of music in tribute to the once thriving Pallion shipyard and the historic vessel the TSS Manxman. Here’s a photo of TSS Manxman in it’s glory days:
Late one night we played our piece of music in the shipyard’s dry dock just before this grand rusting vessel was dismantled and assigned to the history books forever.
Here is the result: Pallion
You can also see a mini documentary about the making of Pallion here
Many thanks to Generator and Northern Film & Media for having us involved in this project.
Home from an amazing few gigs. Thanks very much to Low for having us along in London and Birmingham and to those folks in Oxford who came to see us. Here’s the customary group photo..

Well we’re home from a fantastic week supporting Explosions In The Sky. They were a great bunch and the perfect hosts on tour. After the Brixton Academy show we drove through the night to make it to Brendan’s wedding on time and we’re now catching up on sleep!
